3-Night Stay for Afterlife in Tulum My partner and I are seasoned Hyatt guests, having stayed at nearly 40 properties worldwide, but unfortunately, this one stands out as the worst experience we’ve had. The Positives: The bell desk and F&B staff were friendly and professional, which we greatly appreciated. The Mexican buffet by the pool, especially the BBQ and tacos, was decent. The Negatives: The Rooms Division was poorly managed from start to finish. Upon check-in, the male manager at reception lacked basic hospitality. He neither smiled nor acknowledged our Hyatt Globalist status, which typically includes guaranteed late check-out at 4 PM. The room itself was disappointing. It was not clean—there was sand on the floor, and an empty water bottle was left in the living room. When we arrived, pillows were oddly piled on a cabinet, and the butler had to hurriedly move them to the bed while explaining the room’s facilities. The room felt dated and poorly maintained, though the bed was comfortable. Our butler was friendly but unresponsive to simple requests, such as providing a kettle and an extra duvet. On one day, we left for Tulum around 12:30 PM, but upon returning in the late afternoon, we found the room had not been serviced. Dining options were limited, and the food quality was subpar—more akin to a second-rate university cafeteria than a luxury hotel. The Worst Part: Check-out was particularly frustrating. The same manager who checked us in blamed me for not informing the butler about our need for late check-out, which is baffling. As a Globalist member, I’ve never had to notify staff of my check-out time unless it exceeded the guaranteed 4 PM. Overall, this property failed to meet the high standards we’ve come to expect from Hyatt. While the staff in some areas were pleasant, the overall management and service left much to be desired.

Présentement au Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya, Très déçu...Piscine eau très froide pas personne qui se baigne ( une piscine est faite pour l activité de se baigner pas seulement pour se rafraîchir vite faite), Menu du restaurant du Grill et Italien aucun filet mignon et doit payer 120$ US pour une langouste de 300g .J ai été dans plusieurs 5 étoiles et toujours eu un très bon choix de menu . Très déçu et ne recommande pas ....ce n est pas ça un 5 étoiles ...pire 5 étoiles de ma vie.

Everything is very nice. It is not rhe the fanciest place but it is clean and all the food has been good. Feey fine sand beach.
