As a frequent visitor who has been to Four Seasons Amman more than 50 times last year, I have always associated the brand with luxury, professionalism, and exceptional service. However, my recent experiences have steadily declined, leading me to share my story. What was once a reliable and welcoming retreat has transformed into a source of disappointment, disorganization, and disrespect. The issues began with repeated failures in managing reservations. On several occasions, I arrived at the hotel's restaurants expecting a confirmed reservation, only to be informed there was no record. Initially, I assumed these were isolated mistakes, but they persisted, suggesting a systemic problem. For instance, I recently attempted to book a Christmas brunch well in advance, only to be told at the last moment that there was no record of it. Imagine arriving on Christmas Day, only to be turned away. This not only embarrassed me but highlighted the need for careful handling of key bookings. The attitude of the staff added to the disappointment. Rather than showing concern or offering solutions, they dismissed my concerns, telling me to "call in the morning" with no effort to rectify the situation. Such indifference is unacceptable, especially at a property that prides itself on being among the world’s best. The hotel's lack of care extends to its concierge team, who have consistently let me down. Last year, when I inquired about arranging tours, I was assured of a follow-up that never happened. This pattern of empty promises has become the norm. More recently, when I asked about availability for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners, I received a cold, unhelpful response: "They’re fully booked.” No alternatives were offered, no effort made to check again, leaving me to manage everything on my own. In contrast, my personal concierge team—who work outside the hotel—stepped in to help address the issues caused by the hotel’s disorganized and apathetic approach. It's disappointing that a property like Four Seasons required external assistance for basic guest support. During a visit to Fire & Grill, I was repeatedly asked by different staff members if I was staying at the hotel. This wasn’t just a one-off question—it happened multiple times during the same meal. This treatment made me feel unwelcome, as though I didn’t belong, a glaring failure for a brand that claims to prioritize loyalty. However, these positive experiences are overshadowed by systemic issues. One concerning aspect is the possibility of bias or racism. At times, I felt staff were indifferent to my preferences, particularly in the restaurants. There were instances where I noticed a differential treatment compared to other guests, seemingly based on my background. The staff often seemed less engaged and less eager to assist with my requests, in contrast to their interactions with other guests. This lack of enthusiasm made me feel unwelcome and foolish for continuing to patronize their services. This experience is unlike any I’ve had at other Four Seasons properties worldwide. After years of enduring these frustrations, I have reached my breaking point. The combination of poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and dismissive attitudes has eroded my confidence in Four Seasons Amman. While there are exceptional employees who uphold the brand’s reputation, systemic issues at this property far outweigh their efforts. I share this feedback not in anger, but with hope. I genuinely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and acts to address the glaring issues.
