Buen Hotel. Excelente desayuno, habitación cómoda y amplia, atención muy amable y cercana. Además, la habitación muy limpia. En 25 minutos con bus a la playa. El único pero, es que el restaurante que ofrece servicio de habitaciones, su comida es mejorable… la paella estaba muy salada.

CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL ! I would recommend that You to choose another hotel for Your stay in Valencia, so You will not face these kinds of problems. Can I make only one person to choose another hotel in Valencia, I will be happy. I stayed here for 7 days and the room cleaning service is so bad. When we complained to the reception, and the reception says that we have set up the 'do not disturb' sign on the door, as it was noted in the cleaners log file. The first time we were in doubt, but the second day we were completely certain as we saw the note from the cleaner on our room door saying we had decline room cleaning service and that the room will not be cleaned. But beneath that note the 'clean our room' sign was clearly visible. We complained at the reception again that our room 510 (a room with view a.k.a extra charge ~ €300/night) was not made. But the hotel can not do anything otherwise to internally complain to the cleaning group in the house. And offer us snacks from the bar as compensation. I do not want snacks. I just want what I have paid for. A room to sleep in, clean shower towels, a bed made and the room cleaned. And it was so filthy in the room. It is unbelievable dirty and this dust is more then just two days of not cleaning. Just have a look at the attached pictures under the bed! And we had no amenities in the bathroom and thought it was strange, but had no need for it anyway. I am not talking about bathrobes and slippers. But after our first complaint we got full toiletries and bathrobes to our bathroom as a compensation. And now we heard that we got these amenities and bathrobes due to our first complaint. That is nice. But yet the room was not cleaned the day after anyway? The amenities in the bathroom are normal at most hotels with a higher standard. But not at Barceló Valencia, so what do I get for the high price staying here? Spare me any explanations that we put up the 'do not disturb' sign and we made the mistakes ourselves. The truth is that someone was just lazy and did not want to clean our room for some kind of reason? And yes, we got the room lightly made in the evening from the emergency cleaning lady. And that we also declined change of towels at the second complaint we did. It was because as we would leave the hotel early the next day. Is this review unfair? Well, no. A hotel has one job to do and the weakest link failed. I pay. You deliver. That is how it works in the free world. You can tell us how much you care for the environment, the green food, the lgbt+ community etc. But Barceló Valencia failed the simplest thing they should give me as a customer. When upon our leaving from the hotel, a manger showed up telling us we would be compensated for the ‘un-normal situation and make us pleased’, but that promise never happened and was taken back. They were not pleased with a bad review. But also… the lady in the reception said at the first complaint we made, that the hotel can not make any compensation to us and we need to talk to Barceló Group to make a written complaint. I did much later (5th of April 2024) get an email from Paula (Guest Experience Manager) who wanted me to get in contact with her. So I did, but no response back from her. What a surprise? A lot of talk and no content? So Paula, You had your chance to make things right. But you seems to work harder to look trying, then to actually do something. I understand it is very embarrassing for Barceló Valencia hotel to be presented as it was. But this hotel lack management! So, you as a future customer/guest can decide for yourself if your stay at Barceló Valencia is the kind of visit you are looking for? And as George Orwell once said: "However much you deny the truth, the truth goes on existing". Just as this review will exist here forever.
