**Review for Axel Hotel Barcelona** Unfortunately, I had another disappointing experience with Axel Hotel, this time in Barcelona. A major issue was the shower: the water wouldn’t drain, causing a small flood in the bathroom. Additionally, the sparkling water in the room seemed to be just tap water, as it tasted strongly of chlorine. The wellness area was also a letdown. On the day of my check-out, I wanted to use the facilities but was only informed, upon asking, that the fee for guests who had already checked out had increased to 20 euros instead of the previously stated 15 euros. Clear communication regarding this would have been appreciated. Furthermore, I didn’t receive a key for the lockers and had to rely on the staff to unlock them for me. Unfortunately, there was no staff present at the time, leaving me waiting for about 20 minutes, half-naked, until someone finally arrived to open the lockers. While the hotel staff overall was friendly and the room was in decent condition compared to my previous stay at Axel Berlin, these issues, especially the poor state of the wellness area, left a negative impression. So not worth it the price and especially the add ons which they charge for (and are for free in other hotels)
