Beachfront Hotel La Palapa - Adult Only recenzie 

The entire staff at Hotel La Palapa--kitchen and restaurant staff, reception, groundskeepers, cleaners--work to make your stay enjoyable, something you rarely experience in the US. I loved the location and the private-feeling beach. It's also notably adults only. Food and drinks were great (as is most food in Holbox). I found the beach are a bird-watcher's paradise. While our room was well-appointed, and our stay wonderful, I have to give Hotel La Palapa 4 stars due to the very uncomfortable beds. Despite the lovely sound of waves at night we never got a good night sleep and woke up rather uncomfortable every morning.

This was our first time to Holbox and I do t think it will be our last!! La Palapa will definitely be our go-to place to stay in this island!! The rooms were immaculate and the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs from hot water for our tea to booking excursions and suggestions for great places for supper. The breakfast at the hotel was always amazing—the pancakes and the fruit plate are my favorite. It was close to everything so walking was easy and it was by far the best hotel right in the beach. We liked the small size of it and the staff treated us like family. The only thing I would suggest is a few more rooms with TVs. We needed to watch our hockey!! lol. But we did find a bar in town that put the game on for us.

What a surprise to find this little gem. It was worth the 2 hour ride from Cancun airport. The grounds are impeccable. Breakfasts were a 5/5. Our room surprised me. We felt so safe to tour the area .

We thought this hotel was wonderful. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was refreshing. But it is Holbox, so don't expect a TV in the room - go hang at the beach! The location to us could not have been more perfect. Over the 6 days on Isla Holbox, we explored everywhere, and we learned that there could not be a better location for us. Coming we understood already that the beach in front was small but the beaches near to the east are wonderful all the way up to Punta Mosquito. But dont pass up an enjoyable eve beachfront at La Palapa as waves wash up and the sun sets down. Around the corner and close by in 5+mins you can find popping bars and delicious dining. We also knew that west of La Palapa toward Punta Coco was quiet, less pretty beaches and not of interest to us. We walked west all the way to Punta Coco and confirmed our suspicions. Those places west are not for us. Each morning at La Palapa, we had wonderful early AM breakfasts, enjoying the Pelican fishing. The Bar - Restaurant staff was EXCELLENT. Kind, helpful, and attentive. The breakfast food and coffee, outstanding. It was my birthday week. Thank you, everyone, for making it a truly enjoyable and unforgettable celebration.
