Memories Caribe Beach Resort 

Issues with toilet paper and it was frustrating. Bring your own!!! Some days no hot water and some days no cold water. Beach is very very shallow! Beautiful but shallow so if you’re looking for a beach that you can swim in - this is not it. Customer service not good.

I recently stayed at Memories Caribe Beach Resort with my partner, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We ended up staying only one night due to the black mold throughout the room, which made it impossible to feel comfortable or safe. The service at the snack bar was also unacceptable. We requested two ham and cheese sandwiches—one for each of us—but were only given one. When we politely asked the server for the second one, her response was very disrespectful. It was clear the staff were more focused on getting money than providing decent service. We were then switched to Playa Paraiso Resort, but sadly, that was not a good experience either. If your only goal is to get drunk, maybe this place would work for you, but if you care about cleanliness, good service, or a relaxing vacation, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Bonjour à tous! Je commence en vous disant que ma sœur et moi, cela fait plusieurs fois que nous réservons à cet hôtel. À chaque fois nous apprécions le merveilleux moment, par contre cette fois-ci nous avons réservé durant 1 mois à la place de deux semaines, donc nous avons pu rencontrer encore plus de gens que d’habitude. Lorsque nous sommes arrivées à l’hôtel, les gens de l’accueil ont été très sympathiques et ont exaucé toutes nos demandes faite à l’avance! MERCI! La première journée nous avons fait connaissance avec la dame qui s’occupait de notre chambre section 24, Lyaney a été un TRÉSOR pour nous tout au long de nos vacances! Excellent service! La pizza au resto de la plage était excellente! Étant donné que l’on a pas pris le club Diamond cette fois-ci, le midi nous partions mangé au snack avec nos charmants ami(es). L’excellent cuisinier Maidel, s’est occupé de nous avec un service personnalisé…en nous confectionnant des sandwiches hors du commun avec ce qu’il avait sous la main! MERCI Maidel! Au bar nos amies Dahomey et Pamela ont su combler toutes nos attentes! Avec ses personnes nous avions un fou rire constant, aussi bien en français en anglais ou en espagnol!MERCI! Sans compter les déjeuners savamment préparé par le chef Juniel, omelettes excellentes! Damaris au buffet à l’extérieur offre un service personnalisé de compétition! Et avons pu échanger sur pleins de sujet lorsque pas trop de monde à servir! Beaucoup de fou rire là aussi! MERCI! Pour ce qui est de la réservation pour restos à la carte, on allaient voir la petite Lily à chaque samedi et elle s’ est occupée de nos restos avec un grand professionnalisme! MERCI! À la plage Joël et Alexander se sont bien assurés que nous ayons des chaises et un palapa! MERCI! Et pour terminer… la capitaine du resto Asiatique, la charmante Juliet et toute son équipe (Yosvany,Erbis,Yaima,Lorraine,Sheila) nous ont accueillies comme si l’on faisaient partie de leurs familles, avec bonne humeur et le service était impeccable! J’ai même eu droit à un gâteau pour mon anniversaire le 13 octobre! MERCI! Pour ceux qui doutent encore avant de réserver ….après une bonne dizaine de fois à ce complexe, nous vous disons (lets go) et arrêtez de vous mettre des barrières avec les moustiques, les odeurs, la piscine ou les rénovations! Lâchez-vous! Et vous passerez de très belles vacances! Merci de m’avoir lue jusqu’à la fin!

Today is Dec 5th, 2024. We arrived 3 days ago and the disappointment with this place has grown by the hour over the last few days. We arrived hot, tired and sweaty from the flight and first thing we needed was a hot shower and freshening up, leaving behind the winter garments that we had with us. After waiting 4 hours for a room, we finally made it to our vacation room. There, we found our room to be dated, tired, dirty, burn marks on the furniture, taps in shower were broken, tv did not work, safe didn't either. The bed only had one pillow, so we went to lobby requesting some additional pillows but they said the did not have any. We informed them of the broken tap in shower and thry eventually sent over a plumber to fix. They eventually sent over a technician to fix tv and repair remote as well. But.....it turns out there was no water of any kind coming out of any of our devices...nothing from toilet, vanity or shower. How could this be? Another trip to the front desk where they said they had a water boiler problem. Ok. Stuff happens and things get fixed...meaning no wash up or shower for either one of us for now. Day 2: no hot waterupon waking up. Tried to wash up with bottled water the best we could to get to breakfast. Front desk said the hot water would work shortly.....skip ahead without hot water until the evening hour before dinner... You might think hot water would be restored? No siree. No hot or cold water at all. Front desk limited themselves to apologising and saying that the hot water boiler had just been repaired and it was warming up over the next couple of hours. After dinner and show, our smelly selves went back to room to finally attempt a shower. Result? No hot water (just room temperature) and no flow at all of cold water. Extremely disappointing, to say the least. By now, my partner and I are irritated beyond belief. Front desk tells us there's nothing he can do, the hot water is out for the whole Resort and that they guarantee that the hot water issue will be working by the morning. It is 1:30 in the morning so off to bed we go, even more swesty and smelly. Day 3 in the morning.. I wake up and low and behold NO HOT WATER COMING OUT OF ANYTHING. Sunwing, Memories, etc should be ashamed of running a place like this! Worst that a third-world country! I've been to developing countries like Nigeria, Tanzania, Mongolia, Cote d'ivoire, etc..and have had better services. Unfortunately, staff are trained to tell you a lie, but they know the place is old and in disrepair. They even tell you that "you know, the place is old" as an excuse. Well, that's NOT an excuse. The food selection is sub-standard with practically no vegetables. The a-la-carte booking woman behaves with guests like she hates her job, and clearly shows it. Definitely not the 4 or 4.5 star resort it is rated as in the travel sites... Maybe it was twenty years ago, but not in 2024. No relief in site for us who are doing our first trip together in our 50s

Hotel je asi 6 ročný. V rezorte stretávate takmer výlučne Kanaďanov. Oplatí sa vyskúšať niektoré z výletov ktoré sú v ponuke, pretože v samotnom rozorte nespoznáte, čo je Kuba. Ak chcete spoznať skutočnú Kubu a kubánsky každodenný život, musíte opustiť celý ostrov Cayo Coco, pretože tu nájdete výlučne turistov a hotely. Rezort je ale na veľmi slušnej úrovni, služby, gastronómia, bezpečnosť, čistota, možnosti... Odporúčam si hneď po príchode zameniť väčší objem peňazí na drobné, pretože miestny pracovníci očakávajú tringelt naozaj za všetko. Čítať celú recenziu
