I had the unfortunate experience of celebrating my birthday at Jumierah Zabeel Saray, which was supposed to be a luxurious and memorable gift. Instead, it turned out to be the worst stay I’ve ever had, starting from the reception. The lady at the front desk was clueless, unfriendly, and unprofessional. There was no greeting, no welcome, and absolutely no acknowledgment of my birthday. When I showed her my booking confirmation, she ignored it, claiming she couldn’t find my reservation in their system. Instead of resolving the issue efficiently, she proceeded to try booking a new room for me and even asked me to pay—despite the fact that the room was already booked and prepaid! After wasting almost 15 minutes in the The front desk. Spa experience Talese Ottoman was equally disappointing. My 60-minute massage, which was part of my gift, was scheduled for 4:30PM. I was told to arrive early to enjoy the facilities, which I did. However, when I showed up at 4, they claimed my session would only last the remaining 50 minutes of the hour. The person in the reception was not willing to help or assist and replied only with one word “The system” until another senior lady came and thankfully attained me in a very professional way (which was a surprise!) and i had my one hour massage after my mood being spoiled on MY BIRTHDAY!! Absolutely unacceptable for a so-called five-star hotel! To top it off, the checkout experience was another disaster. After waking up late, I politely requested a late checkout until 1 PM. I was met with rude resistance and told I could stay only until 12:30 PM at the latest, or I would be charged for another night. Overall, my birthday gift at Jumierah Zabeel Saray turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. For a five-star hotel, the service, professionalism, and hospitality were abysmal. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly special and seamless experience. I was neither asked upon checkout nor received any surveys or messages asking for my feedback on my stay so apparently they don’t even care.
