The location of the hotel is at first glance inconvenient because it is not close to the city center. However, this is also an advantage because there are quite a few interesting restaurants and bars near the hotel, and there is also a small shopping center very close. The connections to the city center are diverse and quite good (bus, bolt, uber, taxi,...). The rooms (at least the one we stayed in) are large and comfortable, good comfortable and for our size, a large enough bed, the equipment in the bathroom is outdated and not at the level of a 4-star hotel, the equipment is also outdated (wardrobes, no working safe, small convenient kitchen, which is part of the room has added value only because of the refrigerator...). WiFi works solidly, not ideal, but in principle it works. The balcony is quite spacious in our opinion with a view of the street, which is quite noisy. There is a construction site nearby, which further contributes to the noise between 8 am and 7 pm. breakfasts are good, the downside is that it is available between 7:30 and 9:30, the hotel "coffee" is, as in almost everywhere, hopeless! It would be very convenient if breakfast started at least half an hour earlier (7:00). Despite the outdated inventory, the rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day. Friendly, slightly confused staff.

Dobrý dobrý hotel v blízkosti centra Funchalu. Asi 500 m od oceánu. Najbližšia pláž cca kilometer od hotela a platené lávové bazény cca 600 m. Hotel je vybavený dvoma bazénmi a jedným krytým bazénom. Veľké suitové izby. Čistý, upratovaný každý deň. Výmena uterákov a posteľnej bielizne na vyžiadanie. Milý a diskrétny personál. .V reštaurácii sa podávajú jedlá formou bufetu.Štandardné jedlá. Žiadne odhalenia. V hoteli sú každú chvíľu animácie. Celkovo hodnotím hotel 4/6.

Všetko je dobré, až na DVEREHO, ktorý sa volá Vasco, alebo niečo, čo je s hosťami neslušné. Cítili sme sa veľmi nepríjemne.

It's more of a holiday home than an hotel, facilities waiting for long due renovation

We had a very nice stay at the hotel again on our 2nd visit. It's hard to believe some of the bad reviews people write about the hotel. Yes, we do agree there are some improvements that could be done like carpet cleaning and new chairs in the bar area. We had excellent service from all the staff, on the reception, in the restaurant, the pool staff, and the gentleman that greet you. Our room was cleaned everyday. The swimming pools and garden areas are lovely. The location is great for everything and good value for money. Thank you to you all, we will hopefully return. Boas Festas. George and Yvonne
