Timeshare. Those who sell this aspect is literally the worst. I am just a simple man trying to keep my girlfriend happy and we wasted 4 hours in a timeshare presentation that they told us was an hour. We missed the benefits they promised us because “sorry it took too long”. There were 4 different sales people one after another trying to get us to spent 10-60k for different deals, none of which was better than just generally booking the room each time. Solmar resort in itself is great but agreeing for an hour presentation for a snorkel tour was one of the worst decisions I’ve made I’ve made in my life. I now have a VERY uphappy girlfriend who I owe another trip to. Definitely not the right choice. Price is good here and if you ever come, tell anyone who offers you a presentation to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. Thanks and good luck!

The timeshare scam was abysmal. On the day we checked in we tried to book a snorkel tour and got promised a discount if we went to a 90 minute presentation with free breakfast. They wasted four hours of our time and sent four separate people trying to convince up to drop $20,000 on some stupid timeshare which they wouldn’t show us a proper contract for to summarise the costs and inclusions. When we said no we have to get to a snorkel tour, they dragged us to three other people who again tried to push the same things on us and by the time we got to booking the snorkel tour we originally signed up for, they said they all left that morning and we missed it. This completely ruined our plans for the one full day we had in Cabo. It was disgusting and predatory to have to go through these sales pitches and say no at every turn before they finally backed off. By then it was too late and we missed getting to go out for the one activity we were actually excited for. That said, all staff that worked at the Solmar resort have been amazing and friendly, and go above and beyond to make us comfortable with whatever we need. The location is beautiful, a little secluded from the main town (20-30 min walk) which we enjoyed but pools are not heated. Beware the time share scam and book your activities elsewhere not through the hotel.

Excelente ubicación, los precios y servicio pesimo, cobran taxes a los mexicanos, ademas de no tener una buena atención a los huespedes.

Came for an extra long weekend. The gardens are lovely, drinks expensive, food average (my buddy had a steak he couldn’t eat).
